This is Anna and Miguel

Our story started in 2017, when we started working together in the same wood shop, Anna is an interior designer and Miguel is an architect, both passionate about design, wood, and crafts. A love story with plenty of sawdust started at Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona.

In 2018 we created Likenwood, a furniture brand dedicated to designing and building hardwood and plywood high-end furniture pieces and wooden accessories. If you dig into our Instagram account, you can see what it was about.

In 2020 COVID-19 shakes the way people work. Working from home became a necessity, and a nice idea came up from an old custom-made project: to create a compact working station that could easily transform any space into a proper working station, having the essential storage space. This is how Folden Desk showed up.

In 2023 we decided to shut down Likenwood project, our volume vs price formula wasn't working and our creative souls were looking to re-connect with our professions. a sad but necessary decision for us to advance.
After closing Likenwood we've still received orders for the Folden desk, by whatsapp, instagram, e-mail, etc. It was a nice sign that this desk is a blast, and encourage ourselves to create foldendesk.com.
Thanks to all of you who keep pushing and open our eyes to realize that more people need to have a folden desk at home.

How much weight can it hold?

It depens on the material of the wall:

For drywall panel walls, it can hold 30kg load on the center of the desk, For brick/concrete walls up to 45kg on the center of the desk.

Is the desk varnished/oiled?

Not just that!

All of our desks are protected with natural oil, certified following UNE-EN 71-3 rule, this means that is completely safe for children, and is also free of VOC.

Is the desk assembled?

You'll receive a big, well-protected box with a fully assembled desk, your job will be to hang it on the wall with 3/4 screws (provided on a small box inside). Once the desk is in place, you can choose to use the inner shelves (2 shelves included) or not. These shelves are placed on four pins that you'll have to hammer into the side holes inside each compartment.

Can the desk be adapted?

Our mission is that you're completely happy with your folden desk. Sometimes it can be a big baseboard or +/- 5cm length that makes it fit or not. We offer the possibility to customize it by selecting the custom option.

Height or depth cannot be modified since our boxes are already made and can only be adapted by length.

How does the warranty works?

Our desks are carefully made, finished, assembled and packed for passionate people, but that doesn't mean that things could happen.

If the desk results in damage during the shipping process, you'll be refunded or receive a new unit. All of our packages are properly secured; if you observe any damage on the box, please take pictures of the package before opening it; it would be necessary for us as a proof.

If your desk doesn't fold properly, we can offer a partial replacement of the problematic spare piece or a refund.

We didn't offer a warranty on stains on the wood, since we strongly recommend cleaning the surface after any leak. The oil finish eventually needs to be maintained.
